Remember Film
When digital first came out I wasn’t the quickest adopter – I stayed on film photography cameras for many years and then went digital after a ‘pro lab’ (and I intended the hyphens) scratched 30+ rolls of film in one go.
This process of the convenience of digital is amazing – sure some people shoot too much and you should have everything backed – but the post production process is now so much simpler.
Here is an example – a scratched Black and White SCALA transparent film scanned after it came back scratched and filthy from the lab. Here is the clean up process in Lightroom – every dot is a fix.
and then here is the finished image. Snow in the centre of Glasgow piled high a few years ago now – maybe 8??
